Bilingual & Culturally Sensitive Assessments
Immigration processes can be emotionally challenging and legally complex. A well-documented mental health evaluation can play a critical role in supporting a client's immigration case. As a bilingual (Spanish-speaking) and bicultural Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, I specialize in conducting culturally informed, trauma-sensitive mental health evaluations that bring both compassion and clinical insight to every case.
I work closely with immigration attorneys and their clients to ensure each evaluation is thorough, professional, and tailored to the specific legal standards required. These evaluations provide critical psychological context that helps tell the client's story in a clear and compelling way.
I currently provide comprehensive psychological evaluations for the following immigration-related matters:
Hardship Waivers (I-601 and I-601A)
VAWA (Violence Against Women Act) and Spousal Abuse Cases
U-Visa Petitions
T-Visa Applications
Each evaluation includes a clinical interview, a psychosocial assessment, and a written report that addresses psychological symptoms, trauma history, and how the immigration-related issue impacts the individual’s mental and emotional well-being.
I understand the sensitivity and urgency involved in immigration cases. My approach is grounded in empathy, cultural competence, and professionalism. I aim to create a safe and supportive space where clients can share their experiences without fear of judgment. My goal is to help clients feel heard, respected, and emotionally supported throughout the evaluation process.
Having worked in the mental health field since 2006, I bring years of experience working with trauma, abuse, family separation, and cross-cultural stressors. This allows me to capture the complexity of each client’s story while meeting the standards needed for legal documentation.
All evaluations are conducted virtually to ensure accessibility and comfort. I offer flexible scheduling and a streamlined process that respects your time and your client’s needs. Most reports are completed within 2–3 weeks of the final interview, and expedited services are available when needed.
I provide payment plan options and competitive fees, and I am happy to coordinate directly with attorneys to ensure all necessary documentation is provided.
If you are an immigration attorney seeking a trusted mental health professional for psychological evaluations, I welcome the opportunity to collaborate. I work with clients throughout Illinois and can accommodate both English and Spanish speakers. Let’s work together to support your clients.
